Committee volunteers needed!

The Chamber, like most not-for-profit organizations, depends on individuals with a heart for the organization's mission to jump in and assist. Volunteering is a great way to get your organization noticed, build your network and assist us in growth and reach. Please take a moment to consider the committees below. If interested, please include your contact information and we'll contact you soon!

If you are currently on a committee below, please confirm your continued willingness to serve.
Business Advocacy
The Chamber provides a strong, unified voice for issues that affect Botetourt business growth and local economic development ensuring that we can be heard and work collaboratively with our representatives and elected officials. This committee works to plan events and give feedback to appropriate organizations and works throughout the year on an irregular basis.
Golf Classic
The Golf Classic committee works about 3 or 4 months. We begin talking about the outing in Nov or Dec, then really crank it up in January. We plan the event, find sponsors, contact companies to participate with foursomes, get swag for gifts and generally have a good time! Once the classic wraps in late April, we'll have a final review meeting and discuss plans for the next year. We meet about once a month for that four to five month period, and/or as needed.
Membership/Ambassadors
Chamber Ambassadors help our Chamber grow and grow their own business! We also introduce Chamber membership and benefits to non-member businesses in the community. Are you interested in obtaining new clients or customers for your business? Are you a new business looking for leads or networking opportunities in Botetourt, the Roanoke Valley and beyond? Then being a Botetourt Chamber Ambassador is for you! Serving as an Ambassador for the Botetourt Chamber will help you get your foot in the door and develop relationships with other businesses. Agriculture
This is a new committee for the chamber in 2020. This will allow us to support the agricultural businesses and heritage of our county. This committee will plan events and advocacy for our "ag" community. For now, assume monthly meetings.
