How to Engage a Remote Workforce: To Telework or Not to Telework - Or Some Hybrid
Panel 1 of the series on adapting business life to fit in a post-pandemic world. Register for one session or all the sessions. A recording of Scott Crawford's introduction to "The End of the Beginning Series" is available. Please email jennifer@botetourtchamber.com if you would like to view the recording for background to the series.
Panel 1 will consist of business leaders and HR specialists discussing topics related to flexible work options and remote workforce challenges and benefits. A related theme will be re-imaging the office and how to allow for more flexible use of office space.

Navigating an Increasingly Important Virtual Operational Model: The Importance of Cybersecurity. Tuesday | July 13, 2021, 8-9:30 am
Panel 2 will consist of IT specialists with a focus on cybersecurity. Included on this panel will be a representative of the Department of Homeland Security who can describe the FREE cybersecurity analysis offerings DHS provides for businesses. This session will focus on cybersecurity issues tied to video conferencing, websites, email, and third-party hosts.

Funding a Post-Pandemic Business Model: Grants and Resources to Help Businesses Support New Operation Models. Tuesday | September 14, 2021, 8-9:30 am
Panel 3 will consist of grant writers and individuals who oversee various grants. Representatives from the Statistical Applications and Innovations Group at Virginia Tech will be on hand to discuss offerings Virginia colleges and universities have that can allow for partnerships between corporate and higher education institutions that are low cost.

Intelligence Alone is Not Enough: The need for EQ and DQ in a Post-Pandemic Business World. Tuesday | November 9, 2021, 8-9:30 am
Panel 4 will consist of proven forward thinking business leaders who recognize the importance of both Emotional Quotient and Digital Quotient in business today – especially in the shadow of a Pandemic that forced personal and professional lives to collide in an unprecedented manner, all through a host of relatively new and growing technologies. The panelists will focus on how to lead with EQ and to help build company-wide DQ through professional development. While IQ will always be needed, this session will suggest that business leaders in the post-Pandemic world will need to build teams that are balanced in the new Tripartite Quotient Model of IQ, EQ, and DQ.
